The Meade LX200 RJ12 PC DB9 interface cable allows the MEADE LX200, LX400, LX600 Autostar II telescopes to be connected to the DB9 port of a PC or laptop for control with Meade software. It is designed to control your computerized telescope from a laptop or PC through various planetarium programs, it is connected to the DB9 port of the computer and to the RS232 port (RJ12 connector) located on the MEADE LX200 mount. Unlike the standard Meade #507 cable, for Meade LX200 RJ12 DB9 PC interface cable, a serial port adapter is not required.

Optionally, instead of this cable, you can use wireless adapters – AutoFi LX200 or AutoBt LX200.

Connecting a computer to your telescope will also allow you to move the telescope from different planetarium programs! Today, there are many programs available that not only display the night sky, as it appears on any chosen observation night, but this will allow you to send your telescope to any object on the screen at the touch of a button.
